recently, the zenith steel group sent a thank-you letter to complete equipment branch of shougang electromechanical co., ltd. to express its gratitude to the company for completing the steelmaking technical transformation project (changzhou) to high standards.

the zenith steel group is a large-scale iron and steel conglomerate with businesses covering iron and steel smelting, deep processing of rolled steel, modern logistics, international trade and other fields. it is an important partner of shougang electromechanical co., ltd., providing long-term cooperative services in metallurgical equipment, etc. with a cooperation foundation of more than ten years. in recent years, business cooperation between the two parties has become closer, and shougang machinery & electric has successively contracted several key projects of nantong base and changzhou base. in particular, starting in october 2022, it successfully completed the steelmaking technical transformation project (changzhou) in just over three months, earning the full recognition of the owner for its excellent service and engineering quality.

the project mainly included the demolition of original converter systems no. 1, no. 2 and no. 3, and the installation of two new converter systems no. 1 and no. 3, as well as the reconstruction and construction of the vaporization flue and tower platform system, electrical automation system, vaporization system, water supply and drainage pipeline, oxygen lance system and gas purification system. the overall project had a heavy construction workload, scattered operation points and many cross-operations. in order to complete it to high standards, shougang machinery & electric dispatched backbone personnel to set up the zenith steel technical transformation project department, rationally analyzed the project’s situation, carefully arranged the progress and actively coordinated and solved various problems in the context of complex and changeable construction sites. in the meantime, in light of concentrated construction involving more than 500 people, the project department fully summarized the organization experience of large-scale multi-personnel projects, strictly implemented epidemic control measures, adopted closed-loop management, implemented refined project management and organization, firmly held the bottom lines of safety production, epidemic prevention and control, and project performance, and finally completed the technical transformation project with great success.
